Anaplastic Lymphoma

Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) is a general term for many lymphomas of the skin including mycosis Fungoides anaplastic lymphoma and Sezary syndrome. This book presents the state of the art in CTCL epidemiology, clinical features, pathology, immunochemistry, diagnostic molecular techniques, staging anaplastic lymphoma and prognosis, anaplastic lymphoma and treatment. Edited by one of the leading experts in the disease, Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma: Mycosis Fungoides anaplastic lymphoma and Sezary Syndrome provides comprehensive coverage of the disease anaplastic lymphoma and presents techniques for diagnosis anaplastic lymphoma and state-of-the-art treatment modalities, such as ultraviolet light, steroids, anaplastic lymphoma and topical chemotherapeutics.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma - Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that features in the World Health Organisation (WHO) classification of lymphomas. Primary effusion lymphoma - Primary effusion lymphoma (PEL) is a malignancy of B cells that is caused by Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV). In about 80% of cases, the lymphoma cells are also infected with Epstein Barr virus (EBV). Non-Hodgkin lymphoma - Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a type of cancer arising from lymphocytes, a type of white blood cells. It is so called because of its distinction from Hodgkin's disease, a particular subtype of lymphoma. MALT lymphoma - MALT lymphoma is a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) involving the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue, usually of the stomach.

The text also reviews the related forms of CTCL, including Sezary syndrome, lymphomatoid papulosis, cutaneous CD30+ anaplastic large cell lymphoma, and follicular mucinosis. CTCL is often difficult to diagnose both clinically and histologically, and its many forms can mimic other dermatoses. For personal use only. Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) is of prime importance to dermatologists and oncologists because although it is one of the epidemiology and the clinical and histologic features of the anaplastic lymphoma.
